Station Hand | Capella | QLD

Paringa Gold Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable, motivated and enthusiastic Station Hand to join our team near Capella in Central Queensland.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with cattle, operating machinery and working outdoors as part of a practical team.

The successful applicant will be involved in the day-to-day running of the property and livestock operations.

You will be based on our cattle property near Capella in Central Qld.

• Cattle handling, yard work and livestock husbandry

• Mustering and moving cattle including the use of quad bikes and horses

• Feeding and watering livestock

• Assisting with cattle induction and general stock work

• Fencing, yards, waters and general property maintenance

• Operating tractors, vehicles and other farm machinery

• General cleaning and upkeep of equipment and facilities

• May be required to help out at other company locations and feedlot during busy periods

• Following workplace health, safety and animal welfare procedures

• Other general station duties as required

We are looking for some who:

• Own horses and working dogs an advantage

• Positive and willing attitude 

• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors

• Has a genuine interest in cattle and rural operations

• Can work independently, as well as part of a team

• Has good communication skills and takes pride in their work

• Is reliable, punctual and safety conscious

• Has a current driver's licence

• Has experience with cattle, machinery and station work

• Is willing to learn and take on new responsibilities

Experience operating multiple agricultural machinery will be highly regarded

• Full-time employment with an established Central Qld cattle operation

• Monday to Friday work with rotational weekend duties

• Practical, hands-on work across cattle and property operations
