The Walker family is seeking an experienced person or couple to join their family-owned and operated cattle property, Ravensbourne/Moonbong, located 60km south-east of Blackall, Queensland.
Organic Santa Gertrudis commercial herd and Santa Gertrudis stud.
Newly renovated three-bedroom home with electricity provided.
Home to an organic Santa Gertrudis commercial herd and Santa Gertrudis stud, the property also hosts an annual on-property bull sale. This hands-on role offers a variety of cattle, machinery and property maintenance work, alongside the station owners.
Your responsibilities will include:
Mustering and cattle work using low-stress stock handling practices.
Operating and maintaining plant and machinery.
Fencing repairs and welding.
Monitoring and maintaining livestock watering infrastructure.
Feeding animals.
Homestead and garden maintenance.
Record keeping.
General property maintenance.
Preparing for the annual on-property bull sale.
We’re looking for someone with:
Experience mustering and handling cattle.
Machinery operation and maintenance skills.
Practical skills in general property maintenance.
A truck licence.
Strong communication skills.
The ability and willingness to work cooperatively with the owners and others.
