We are currently seeking a Grader Operator (CAT 140H) at Wave Hill Station, NT.

Wave Hill Station is located 450km South-West of Katherine in the beautiful and iconic Victoria River District of the Northern Territory. The property currently runs around 45,000 head of Brahman cattle across 2.9million acres of well developed, mixed country. The nearby township of Kalkarindji lies just 30 minutes from the station homestead.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair station roads with Grader (CAT 140H) to ensure they are drivable for daily operations

  • Maintain firebreaks around fence lines

  • Erosion control measures around the station

  • Basic grader maintenance as required

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience operating a grader for road maintenance tasks

  • Physically capable and resilient, able to handle the demands of grader work, including frequent machine access and long periods seated

  • Competent with basic mechanical repairs and general equipment maintenance

  • Strong communication abilities

  • Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team

  • Drivers Licence

  • Availability for varied hours and occasional weekend work
