Job Description

We’re seeking a motivated, qualified Mechanic to join our team on a remote cattle station set in a truly spectacular landscape. This is your chance to experience a way of life that’s challenging, rewarding, and far from ordinary.

You will play a key role in keeping a busy cattle station operating and, will be responsible for the service, maintenance and repair of station plant and equipment, ranging from bikes & vehicles to earthmoving equipment and prime movers.

Please note:

  • Applicants must have an Australian Recognised Trade Certificate – HD Diesel Mechanic/HD Diesel Fitter

  • Applicants must have the right to live and work in Australia.

  • Dogs are not permitted.

  • This is not a FIFO role and will include travel to our other stations when required.

Minderoo Station is located 45km from Onslow, on the Ashburton River in the heart of the West Pilbara, Western Australia. With the station bordering the Exmouth Gulf there are some great spots for the fishing enthusiast.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

  • Service and repair various plant and machinery types, including and not limited to utilities, road trains, pumps, motorbikes, generators, earth moving equipment etc.

  • Maintaining the maintenance program for station plant and machinery. 

  • Managing the spare parts inventory including ordering of parts and equipment as required. 

  • Maintaining an efficient and safe workshop.

  • Assist with the procurement of replacement plant and machinery.

Job Requirements

  • Applicants must have an Australian Recognised Trade Certificate – HD Diesel Mechanic/HD Diesel Fitter

  • Always demonstrate commitment to safe working practises.
