We are seeking an Overseer to join the team and work closely alongside management in the day-to-day running of the property.
From livestock operations, maintaining water infrastructure and station plant and equipment through to staff coordination and general station maintenance, no two days are the same.

Mulgathing Station is a large-scale Merino sheep operation located in the North West Pastoral region of South Australia, covering more than 518,000 hectares of iconic outback country. Shearing up to 34,000 Merino sheep, Mulgathing produces on average 800 bales of wool annually.
Stock are often located by Cessna aircraft and coordinated with motorcycle musterers via UHF communication. Ensuring and developing reliable watering infrastructure is a major focus.
Reporting to the Station Manager, you'll assist with the day-to-day operation of the station, including:
Supporting and coordinating daily operations leading a team of 5
Sheep husbandry, motorcycle mustering and yard work
Water runs, bore maintenance, fencing and infrastructure improvements
Supervising and supporting station staff and contractors
Operating and maintaining machinery, vehicles, and station equipment
Assisting with seasonal planning, infrastructure improvement program and property management

We are looking for someone who:
Has previous pastoral, livestock, or station experience
Leads by example and enjoys working within a team
Is practical, organised, and self-motivated
Enjoys remote living and working outdoors
Can handle the physical nature of station work
Has motorcycle and machinery experience
Mechanical and welding experience would be an advantage, along with ability to service Toyotas, motorbikes and generators.
Sound knowledge or the ability to learn all aspects of Lorentz/Grundfos solar pumps and windmills
Permanent full-time position
