We're looking for someone with a current MC licence and livestock handling experience to safely operate our Road Train, transporting cattle across station and regional routes.
You'll need solid fatigue management knowledge, basic mechanical skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Headingly Station, near Urandangie, is located in the Barkly Group, 200km south west of Mount Isa and 35km from Urandangie.
The property is a breeding station producing cattle for AACo’s Wagyu brands. Headingly Station is situated on the Georgina River and comprises mainly open black soil downs country with areas of timbered country (mainly Gidyea) scattered throughout.
Headingly Station is made up of three leases – Headingly (1916), Wolgra (1965), and Carandotta (1985).
Safely perform your job and take responsibility for your safe work behaviour.
Operate the Road Train to transport the livestock, hay and station equipment both on and off station.
Complete any maintenance work required on the Road train and keep records of the work carried out.
Maintain daily work diary and internal company documentation.
Monitor Fuel & Oil usage, spare parts usage and inventory.
Operating tractor for general farm duties including weed spraying, mowing, and stacking hay.
Current MC license required.
Livestock handling experience.
Fatigue management knowledge and/ or certificate.
Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
Previous experience in a similar role.
General machine maintenance experience.
Strong organisational skills.
