Bar H is looking for a hands-on, and experienced Head Stockman to join the team at River Lea.
The Head Stockman will help lift livestock performance and keep things running smoothly day-to-day. The Head stockman will need to ensure cattle perform at their best while upholding Bar H’s standards.
You’ll be responsible for herd management, ensuring livestock welfare, performance, and safety are always top priority, and support the team with property upkeep.

Responsible for the consistent implementation of safe and respectful cattle handling and training staff and contractors, including in artificial breeding programs.
Co-ordinate and perform the training of livestock.
Maintain, improve and report the performance, health, welfare and nutrition of all livestock on Bar H Grazing properties.
Monitor and report on water, supplement, and feed supply for all livestock
Assist with property maintenance, machinery, and infrastructure.
Support land management activities, including pasture care and conservation.
Proven experience in working with livestock and livestock management practices.
Knowledge of animal health, nutrition, and welfare practices.
Competent in operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment.
Hands-on, adaptable, and willing to work in outdoor environments.
