Roebuck Export Depot plays an important role in the Northern WA pastoral industry. The depot can hold over 17,000 head of cattle at one time and is used by exporters and livestock agents to prepare cattle for live export, as well as to handle cattle moving to domestic markets.
We operate under strict safety, environmental and biosecurity standards, and animal welfare is a top priority in everything we do.
Head Stockperson
The Head Stockperson will oversee daily cattle operations, ensure high standards of animal welfare, and actively promote safe work practices while leading a team in a fast-paced environment.
Stockpersons
Day-to-day handling and care of cattle in a busy environment, work as apart of a skilled team, you will be responsible for safely moving cattle through yards, monitoring their health and maintaining high animal welfare and safety standards.
Feeder/Operator
Responsible for delivering feed to cattle accurately and on time, maintaining feed quality, safely operating tractors, feed wagons and other equipment, keeping basic feed records, and reporting any animal welfare concerns.
Cook
Responsible for overseeing the kitchen, planning and preparing nutritious meals for staff and visitors (approximately 10–20 people) and managing food stock. The role requires flexibility with working hours and may include some light domestic work.
Operations Administrator
The Operations Administrator plays a critical role in supporting the Admin Manager with the day-to-day operations of the office, as well as supporting the Depot Manager and other staff in relevant operational tasks.
At least 1 year experience working with northern cattle in a yard or feedlot environment
Good stock handling skills and calm stock sense
Physically fit with a strong work ethic
Feeder applicants to hold relevant, current tractor and loader licences.
Ability to follow instructions and work unsupervised when required
