Thackaringa Pastoral is seeking an experienced Senior Station Hand to join our team on a large, remote pastoral operation in far-western NSW.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in livestock welfare, station presentation, and working as part of a small, capable team.
You will be based at Thackaringa Station approximately 40 km west of Broken Hill, NSW.
Livestock handling and management (sheep, goats and cattle)
Animal health, monitoring and welfare
Yard work, mustering and fencing
General station maintenance and repairs
Operation and maintenance of station plant and equipment
Working independently and assisting with daily station operations
Proven experience working on a sheep, goat or cattle station
Strong livestock skills with a focus on animal welfare
Mechanically minded and practical with maintenance tasks
Able to work independently in a remote environment
Reliable, safety-conscious and willing to contribute to station life
HR truck licence, heavy machinery or earthmoving experience preferred but not essential
Competitive remuneration, based on experience
