Job Description

  • We are currently looking for two motivated individuals to join our team in the 2026 year, a Feedlot Assistant & Plant Operator, located at Croppa Creek, NSW.

  • Tullin Tulla Beef is a family owned and operated 5,000 head feedlot and broadacre cropping enterprise, located 10KM East of Croppa Creek NSW.

  • You will be primarily assisting with the feedlot operation along with the backgrounding cattle and undertake roles within the broadacre farming enterprise from time to time.  A plant operator position is also available.

  • Potential to crossover between operations for either position.

Tullin Tulla Beef is located in the Golden Triangle area of Northern NSW, approx 10km from Croppa Creek, 20km North Star,  64km Goondiwindi, 68km Moree & 100km from Inverell.

Mixed cropping and feed lotting operation over 28,000 acres.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

 Position includes but not limited to:

  •  Pen checks on foot, pen moves, administering of vaccines/medicines.

  •  Mustering on 2 wheelers/quads & side by side

  •  Cattle Husbandry – processing, drafting, weaning, marking.

  •  Preg testing, weaner education and processing.

  •  Property maintenance – fencing, yards, water troughs and workshop.

  •  Water infrastructure, checks & maintenance.

  •  Vehicle and machinery maintenance.

  •  General day to day station duties.

Job Requirements

Ideally the successful candidate must have:

  •  1+ years’ experience on beef cattle station. Prior station work not essential, preference given to applicants with livestock experience

  •  Physically strong and fit.

  •  Skills in cattle handling and mustering.

  •  A safety-first mindset, be highly motivated and keen to have a go.

  •  Ability to follow instructions and work part of a diverse team.

  •  Current drivers licence and own vehicle.

  •  Q Fever Vaccination or willingness to obtain.

  •  Chem Cert or willingness to obtain.

  •  First Aid certificate will be advantageous.
