This position is for a Station Hand to assist the Overseer at one of our livestock properties, in the Gulf of Carpentaria, Queensland. This role will initially be for a fixed term starting in March 2026 until the end of October 2026, pending the wet seasons.
You will be based on one of our station's, a breeding enterprise near Croydon, Queensland.
Cattle management, including mustering and animal husbandry tasks, ensuring all work is precise and safe
General farm duties including feeding, checking water, fencing, machinery operation, and maintenance of infrastructure and equipment
Assist management to achieve production objectives
Demonstrate commitment to Safety, Environmental, and Equal Opportunity objectives, ensuring a safe and respectful workplace
Contribute to a positive and productive working environment by being respectful, precise, diligent, honest, and ethical
Comply with company policies and relevant legislation to minimise safety incidents and environmental harm
Current manual driver’s licence (truck licence desirable but not essential)
Proficient riding skills on a 2-wheeled motorbike for mustering (essential)
Physically fit and resilient to handle station life
Keen to learn livestock handling or experienced working with livestock
Basic mechanical skills for vehicle or equipment repairs
Good communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Flexible, reliable, and available for variable hours including potential weekend work
Q Fever vaccination required
Award-based hourly rate dependent on skills and experience
