We are currently seeking a Feedlot Livestock Supervisor for our Brindley Park Feedlot near Roma, QLD.
Reporting to the Livestock Manager/Feedlot 2IC at Brindley Park Feedlot, you’ll become an integral part of the feedlot leadership team. Brindley Park’s current carrying capacity is 20,000 standard cattle units, ranging from fed Wagyu through to mid fed export cattle and a range of feeding programs.

Brindley Park Feedlot, conveniently located just 30 minutes from Roma, has carrying capacity of 20,000 standard cattle units, with diverse cattle types from long fed Wagyu through to mid fed export cattle and a range of feeding programs, plus development approval to double the capacity, there are plenty of growth and development opportunities to come!
You’ll love a fast-paced environment where you’ll provide hands-on supervision to the livestock team of 14, including mentoring and coaching senior team members.
You’ll have broad responsibility for all aspects of day-to-day livestock handling and processing activities that includes:
Providing on the job training to staff, competency assessments and competency sign offs
Monitoring work, health & safety standards, ensuring safe work practices are adhered to and that hazards and risks are proactively reported and managed
Ensuring the highest standards of animal health and welfare practices and procedures are maintained at all times
Managing feedlot horse plant including horse assessments/suitability, shoeing, dental, chiropractic, veterinary, feeding & nutrition programs
Completing general maintenance activities including welding, water, cables and basic machinery servicing
Ensuring accurate collection, recording and integrity of livestock data
You’re passionate about livestock and have well developed cattle handling and horsemanship skills, experience and knowledge. This, together with a genuine interest in coaching and mentoring others to develop their skills, you’ll bring:
Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in cattle processing within a feedlot environment including arrivals, induction, hospital/health, drafting and loading out activities
Effective leadership and team management ability
In depth knowledge of livestock health, and husbandry techniques and treatments
Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare
Understanding of work, health & safety and the ability to manage a safe place of work
Sound written communication & numeracy
Attention to detail
Computer literacy and experience in livestock data systems
Manual Driver’s licence
Gun licence or the ability to obtain one
