As our Business & Genetics Analyst, you’ll support operational and financial outcomes through data-driven analysis, KPI reporting, benchmarking and insights - plus contribute to herd improvement and the Ultrablack program through performance evaluation and genomics support.
Macintyre Station is located 35 kilometres north of Inverell in northern New South Wales, and is a cornerstone breeding and development property within Palgrove.
The property supports a large Ultrablack Stud female herd alongside a substantial commercial breeding program, with structured autumn and spring joining and a significant AI program.
Irrigation infrastructure and improved pastures further strengthen its capacity to grow out weaner bulls, commercial steers and cull heifers.

Primary Function: Ultrablack Stud breeding, commercial breeding & cattle development
Deliver performance reporting that strengthens productivity, profitability and sustainability
Lead KPI reporting, tracking strategic KPIs and benchmarking results
Support budgeting and forecasting (incl. financial and feed budgets)
Analyse stocking rates vs carrying capacity
Support genetics and herd improvement initiatives for the Ultrablack program (performance evaluation, genomics and modelling support)
Utilise dashboards and reporting systems (e.g., BlackBox, Power BI) to lift data accuracy and repeatability
Financial and business acumen in a commercial environment
Understanding of cattle operations and pasture management (or strong capability to develop quickly)
Ability to work with stakeholders and communicate insights clearly and professionally
High standards of analytical integrity, compliance and reporting accuracy
Experience or knowledge of seedstock cattle operations, ideally with black genetics (Ultrablack, Brangus, Angus or composite breeds) would be advantageous
