A rare opportunity suitable for a couple now exists at Tungamah, in Moonie South-east Queensland for an experienced broadacre farm hand and a seasoned station hand to join our small, close-knit team.

This property is a mixed cattle backgrounding and broadacre farming operation, situated on just over 38,000 acres all up and is conveniently located just 2 hours from Toowoomba and 3 hours from Brisbane.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

Station hands do a range of activities that include:

  • Cattle handling & processing using low stress handling techniques

  • Mustering and moving cattle on horseback and 2-wheel motorbike

  • Horse care and feeding

  • Safe operation of vehicles, tools and equipment

  • Accurate collection and recording of data

  • General station activities such as fencing & basic maintenance

 

Farm Hand do a range of activities that include:

  • Operate and maintain farm machinery (tractors, sprayers, spreaders, harvesters)

  • Assist with planting, spraying and harvesting crops

  • Perform basic machinery maintenance and repairs

  • Fence maintenance and general property upkeep

  • Monitor crops and report on conditions, pests and yields

  • Assist with irrigation where required

  • Support with logistics, grain handling and storage

Job Requirements
