Willinga Pastoral Co is seeking an experienced Gardens & Grounds Manager to lead the maintenance and presentation of gardens and grounds across our rural pastoral properties, based at Juandah Plains.
This is a hands-on, full-time role suited to someone who understands rural working conditions, enjoys autonomy, and takes pride in delivering high standards across large, operational properties.
Juandah Plains is a rural property located near Wandoan in Queensland’s Western Downs region. The property features expansive open landscapes, established rural grounds, and a working country environment typical of the outback. It is a peaceful and private setting, surrounded by natural bushland and agricultural land, offering a true rural Australian lifestyle.
Manage and maintain landscaped areas across multiple rural properties
Hands-on horticulture including mowing, pruning, irrigation, fertilising and spraying
Lead and manage a small grounds team
Coordinate contractors, machinery, vehicles and equipment
Ensure WHS compliance across all works
Support property operations and events, including occasional out-of-hours work
Regular travel and overnight stays between properties required
5–10 years’ experience in a similar role
Certificate III in Horticulture / Parks & Gardens or equivalent experience
Current driver’s licence (truck licence desirable)
Machinery experience (tractor, skid steer, excavator – desirable)
Sound WHS knowledge
Permanent full-time position
Work Vehicle provided on work days.
