We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Road Train Driver to join our team at Millungera Station.
This is an active role where you will be required to have an understanding of safe and efficient transport of cattle.
Millungera Station, 1.5hrs from Julia Creek and 3hrs from Cloncurry, is a massive, historic 342,000-hectare beef cattle property in northwest Queensland, Australia, known for its large herd (around 50,000) and significant water resources from the Flinders and Saxby Rivers.
After operating for over 160 years, it was recently sold by the Acton family in late 2025 to the Hughes family (Georgina Pastoral Co), marking a significant corporate-scale land transaction in Australia's beef industry.
Operate the Road Train to transport livestock, horses and cattle, hay and station equipment both on and off station.
Complete servicing and basic maintenance required on the Road train and other station machinery, keep records of the work carried out.
Monitor Fuel & Oil usage, spare parts usage and inventory.
Operating tractor for general farm duties including weed spraying, mowing, and stacking hay.
Maintain daily work diary and internal company documentation.
Record all maintenance online using our safety management system
Current MC license required.
Livestock handling experience.
Fatigue management knowledge and/ or certificate.
Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
Ability to communicate effectively with management, station staff, and community members
Previous experience in a similar role.
General machine maintenance experience.
Strong organisational skills.
Have a can-do attitude and willingness to assist other staff with required jobs on and off the station
Ability to operate other machinery and equipment is desired but not essential

Monday to Friday work with weekend work when station is busy mustering.
