The Livestock Manager plays a decisive role in the leadership and success of our feedlot Livestock team.
They must ensure all livestock staff are focused on being part of a team that are engaged, informed, efficient, and enjoying their work.
The Livestock Manager plays a pivotal role in organising all cattle movements and processes.
You will be working 30min drive east of Dalby at our Whaka feedlot.
Morgan Pastoral is a family owned and operated farming and cattle business. Our feedlots are a critical and highly valued part of this business.
Oversee livestock related activity (i.e. arrival, induction, health, drafting and dispatch), communicating to other site members on what is required.
Maintain accurate records of animal movements and treatments
Be willing to learn how to update livestock systems (i.e StockAid, FY3000) with accurate details.
Maintain accurate and correct inventory details (livestock, drugs, consumables).
Ensure integrity of animals being sold. Including adherence to welfare requirements, and the market and documentation requirements.
Oversee the operation and maintenance of stock and site watering systems
Strong Leadership capability
Hands-on approach across all operational areas
A collaborative team member who leads by example
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Must have a passion for cattle and horses
Competent computer skills; experience with StockAid or FY3000 viewed favourably
