Looking for your next long-term station opportunity in the heart of western Queensland?

We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Station Manager Couple to join our family-owned operation at Whynot Station, located approximately 40km west of Quilpie.

This is a genuine hands-on management role suited to a capable couple wanting to become part of a progressive family business with strong ties throughout the Quilpie district.

Whynot is a large-scale Merino sheep breeding and wool producing enterprise, running across approximately 260,000 acres of open pebbly downs country with areas of mulga relief. Alongside the sheep operation, the property also runs a small herd of Droughtmaster cattle and rangeland goats.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for a couple experienced in large-scale pastoral operations and station life.

You will be heavily involved in the day-to-day running of the property, including:

• Livestock management and animal husbandry

• Organising and conducting musters

• General station operations and planning

• Maintenance of fencing, waters, machinery and infrastructure

• Motorbike mustering with aerial support (plane & helicopter when required)

• Record keeping, administration and computer-based tasks

• Working within a team environment and helping lead staff when required

We’re chasing a practical, reliable and down-to-earth couple who:

• Have previous station management or supervisory experience

• Possess strong livestock handling skills

• Take pride in maintaining equipment and infrastructure

• Are organised and capable with station administration

• Have a strong work ethic and positive attitude

• Can work independently and make sound decisions

• Want to become part of a family-run business long term
