Murranji Station, 5 hours south of Katherine, covers 447,500 hectares of Mitchell and Flinders grass plains, lancewood and bulwaddy country.
Operation, maintenance and repair of Lorentz and Grundfos solar pumping systems across the property. Approximately 90% of the station's 27 bores are solar-powered, with a small number of diesel bores remaining in operation.
Conduct routine bore runs to monitor water infrastructure and ensure reliable water supply for livestock.
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to pumps, pipework, tanks, troughs and associated infrastructure.
Maintain accurate records of bore performance, repairs and maintenance activities.
Assist in the station workshop when required, undertaking servicing, mechanical maintenance and parts replacement on vehicles, plant and machinery.
Support the wider station team with operational tasks as required throughout the year.
Mechanical and electrical aptitude is essential.
Previous Bore Runner experience is highly regarded, however applicants with basic mechanical and electrical skills will be considered, with training provided.
Ability to operate station machinery and equipment safely and carry out routine maintenance.
Current manual driver's licence required.
Truck licence and other machinery tickets highly desirable.
Strong work ethic with a commitment to workplace safety.
Ability to identify and report general property maintenance requirements, including fencing and livestock health issues.
Positive attitude with a willingness to work as part of a team.
