We require a Station Hand/ Machinery Operator to join the team at Geddes Pastoral near Holbrook, NSW.
This role is heavily focused on tractor driving, machinery operation and maintenance, with less emphasis on livestock work. Previous machinery experience is preferred, although we would consider someone with strong practical ability, a good attitude and a willingness to learn.
Housing is available and is best suited to a couple who would enjoy maintaining the surrounding garden. There may also be employment available for a partner.

We are a respected, family run, mixed farming business located near Holbrook in southern NSW. We specialise in high rainfall sheep and cropping systems with cattle trading as a seasonal opportunity. We run 14000 plus merino and composite ewes, crop 800ha and can trade large numbers of cattle annually depending on the season. The position includes, but is not limited to:
Operating tractors and other farm machinery
Assisting with sowing and harvest
Servicing and maintaining farm machinery
Maintaining farm bikes and vehicles
Fencing and general property maintenance
Plumbing and water infrastructure repairs
Workshop duties and general farm repairs
Assisting with livestock work when required
Undertaking livestock work primarily using four-wheelers
No horse work is involved in this position.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
Previous experience operating tractors and agricultural machinery
Mechanical aptitude and practical maintenance skills
The ability to undertake general farm repairs
A current driver’s licence
A reliable and safety-conscious attitude
The ability to work independently and within an established team
A willingness to assist across all areas of the farming operation
Applicants with less experience may also be considered if they have the right attitude, practical ability and willingness to learn.
Permanent position within an established team of six
Mostly Monday to Friday working hours
Additional paid hours during sowing and harvest
