Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

While you'll play a key role in carcass grading, chiller assessing and quality assurance, ensuring our products consistently meet Aus-Meat and company standards, this position also offers the opportunity to broaden your experience across our pastoral operations. For those who enjoy life beyond the processing floor, the role can incorporate station-based activities including mustering, livestock handling and other on-farm operations, allowing you to develop a diverse and rewarding skill set. 

  • Inspect and grade meat products

  • Ensure compliance with Aus-Meat industry and company grading standards

  • Operate grading equipment and tools

  • Identify and separate meat based on grade, ensuring accurate labeling

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in a meat processing, quality assurance or carcass assessment role (preferred but not required)

  • AUS-MEAT Chiller Assessor accreditation or willingness to undertake training and become accredited.

  • Sound understanding of AUS-MEAT grading standards and carcass assessment procedures.

  • Reliable, self-motivated and committed to maintaining high product quality standards.
