We have an opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant to join one of our agribusiness teams in the heart of Brisbane CBD.

The client base includes cattle and grain growing operations across northern NSW, the Maranoa, and Western Queensland. It's specialist, hands on work, helping producers navigate tax, succession, and business decisions.  

We're looking for someone who's spent time on the land, whether that's growing up on a family property or via gap years working cattle or grain country, and who's now ready to bring that understanding into an accounting career. You know the seasons, the language, and the pressures our clients face, and that's exactly the perspective we want in the room.

Hall Chadwick QLD (HCQ) is a mid-tier chartered accounting firm based in the heart of Brisbane CBD. One of our specialties is taxation and business advice for agribusiness clients.

• Preparation of income tax returns and financial statements for individuals, sole traders, companies, trusts and self-managed superannuation funds

• Preparation of Business Activity Statements

• Liaising with the ATO, OSR, clients and other professionals

• Preparation of monthly/quarterly financial reporting

• Special assignments including preparation of advice papers and reports, including succession and business planning for agribusiness clients

• Growing client base across the agribusiness sector, including cattle and grain producers

• Opportunity for growth and development

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

• Strong desire to learn

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• A proactive approach to personal and professional development

• Genuine understanding of, or connection to, rural and agribusiness industries is highly desirable
