An opportunity has arisen to take part in joining the team as a Station Couple on a 60,000 ha integrated cattle backgrounding/trading & broadacre dryland cropping property 100km north of Winton QLD.
We can accommodate the successful applicants this year if needed.
You will be based at Corfield Down, a 60,000ha beef cattle property located in Central Western QLD 100km north of Winton.
Cattle are grazed on native pastures with Mitchel grass and flinders being the more prominent species. In conjunction with the native pastures we currently farm 4000ha of Forage sorghum for grazing and have plans to expand this into other grains.

Mustering cattle on two wheel motorbikes along side helicopter.
Yard work, supporting low stress stock handling practices.
Checking waters, fences & livestock across the property.
General maintenance and basic machine operations.
Upholding respect towards others in the team while following safe work practices.
Assist in farming operations when needed
Help lead a large scale beef cattle trading enterprise/ dryland farming with responsibility and with the support of an experienced manager and off site owners.

We are also considering options of legumes such as lab lab and other cash crops in the likes of grain sorghum and chickpeas.
