The role will require the successful candidates to work alongside the managers in the day-to-day running of Idracowra Station, with a primary focus on machinery operations and property maintenance.
The role will include operating and maintaining graders, bulldozers and other station machinery, as well as general station maintenance and infrastructure work.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic team member with a positive, can-do work attitude who can work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
Previous grader and bulldozer experience is preferred. A willingness to learn, take direction and contribute to the team is highly valued.
Idracowra Station is part of Adnanta Pastoral Company, a family-owned and operated cattle company located in the Northern Territory. Adnanta Pastoral Company consists of two adjoining properties, Idracowra Station and Umbearra Station, both situated south of Alice Springs.
Together, Idracowra and Umbearra cover 8,200 km² of certified organic rangeland grazing country. Idracowra Station itself encompasses around 4,600 km², positioned about 265 kilometres south of Alice Springs. The landscape features a mix of open floodplains, river country, and lightly timbered rangelands.
Operating D8R and D6 bulldozers, 140H and 12M graders
Constructing and maintaining fence lines, roads, dams and pipelines
Carry out basic machinery servicing, maintenance and repairs
General station maintenance and infrastructure work
Working safely and efficiency to complete tasks to a high standard
Taking direction and reporting to manager
Assisting with general station duties as required
Compliance with all policies, procedures and lawful instructions of Adnanta Pastoral Company
Previous grader and bulldozer experience preferred
Mechanically minded with a good understanding of machinery maintenance
Current driver's licence
Excellent communication skills
Self-motivated, reliable and trustworthy
Clean and sober habits
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
