Apply your sound knowledge of animal biosecurity, livestock diseases and health and welfare issues to ensure strong biosecurity practices in the NT. The Biosecurity and Animal Welfare team are seeking applicants to fill an ongoing role in Katherine. As a Livestock Biosecurity Officer, you will provide biosecurity inspection and certification advice and services to manage risks to the Territory economy, environment and public health and support the development of sustainable agribusiness and economic development of the NT. This involves delivering biosecurity services and advice, and administering legislation relating to the NT Livestock Act, 2008. You will also be required to participate in biosecurity emergency responses and undertake regular travel to remote locations.
