Anvil Creek is a 4,000-acre family-owned cattle property specialising in Santa Gertrudis cattle. We focus on sustainable, high-quality farming and are investing in infrastructure, pasture upgrades, and herd expansion to grow our flagship operation.
We are seeking a hands-on Farm Manager to lead day-to-day operations, including herd management, rotational grazing, fodder cropping, fencing, and water projects. The role includes on-site accommodation, a work vehicle, and competitive salary. Ideal candidates have strong cattle husbandry knowledge, leadership skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.

We are dedicated to breeding top-quality Santa Gertrudis cattle with our Stud and Commercial herds, utilising industry-leading practices and genetics to produce sound, quiet, fertile and productive cattle.
Planning New fencing across the board – undertaken by contractors.
Planning and implementing rotational grazing programs.
Fodder cropping for pasture renovation utilising new and well-maintained machinery.
Overseeing water infrastructure upgrades with remote tank monitoring systems.
Stud and Commercial herd building and expansion.
Leadership, team building and collaboration with staff and contractors.
Responsible for all day-to-day operations, maintenance and coordinating the implementation of the above projects, you will keep sustainability, safety and practicality at the forefront. Communication is key, and you will be well-supported in this role by the owners and consultants.
This is your chance to take the reins as Farm Manager and have your input valued in the development of a flagship cattle enterprise.
You will bring a hands-on, solutions-focused approach and take pride in maintaining high standards across all areas of farm management and understand the importance of both day-to-day detail and long-term planning.
The ideal candidate possesses:
Strong knowledge of cattle husbandry and pasture management – ideally regenerative systems.
Leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor staff and contractors.
Proficiency in utilising farm management software – Agriwebb an advantage.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with property owners.
Horses and working dogs are an advantage but not an essential.
