This is a full-time, senior hands-on leadership role within a fast-paced agricultural contracting business.

This is a demanding position requiring strong leadership, sound decision-making and the ability to manage people, machinery and pressure in real time.

This is not a desk job. You will be leading crews in the paddock while also completing the operational paperwork that keeps the business running properly.

Well-established agricultural contracting operation working in high-pressure, time-sensitive conditions. The business runs a large and varied fleet of modern machinery and operates across broadacre and cropping environments.

This is a team that works hard, expects accountability and values people who lead from the front.

Start Date

Immediate start available, or as negotiated with the successful applicant.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

  • Running day-to-day agricultural contracting operations

  • Working hands-on alongside crews when required

  • Leading, motivating and supporting team members

  • Setting clear direction, standards and accountability

  • Managing different personalities and maintaining team alignment

  • Coordinating labour, machinery and logistics to meet tight timeframes

  • Managing safety, fatigue and compliance requirements

  • Completing operational paperwork, job records and reporting

  • Acting as the link between management, clients and crews

  • Solving problems quickly and making sound decisions under pressure

  • Setting the standard through your own attitude and work ethic

Job Requirements

  • Strong experience in agricultural contracting or similar operations

  • Proven leadership and people management skills

  • Calm, capable and resilient under pressure

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Highly organised with strong administrative ability

  • Solid understanding of agriculture and field operations

  • Team-first mindset

  • Reliable, accountable and willing to work long hours when required

This role is NOT suitable for:

  • Poor communicators or those who avoid difficult conversations

  • Ego-driven operators or lone wolves

  • People without a strong understanding of agriculture
