Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

Working as part of a family business you will be responsible for:

  • Day to day station activities including..

  • Upkeep and maintenance of stock water.

  • General upkeep of fencing.

  • Maintaining homestead and station complex to a high standard

  • Organising and supervising livestock handling including mustering, branding, weaning, vaccinations, drafting and paddock rotation.

  • Coordination of lick feeding program.

  • Operation and basic maintenance of station plant and machinery.

  • Coordination of station capital improvements.

Job Requirements

  • Extensive experience in cattle, pasture and water management.

  • Practical knowledge of solar bores, fencing, machinery operation and general station maintenance.

  • Good cattle handling, horse and 2 wheel motor bike skills.

  • Computer literacy, use of Microsoft Excel and Agriweb is an advantage. 

  • Enjoy working unsupervised.

  • Previous experience with cattle breeding programs is an advantage.
