We require a Mechanic/Workshop Manager to join the team at Lake Nash Station, NT.

Lake Nash is a large scale outback cattle station on the banks of the Georgina River in the NT. It is a beautiful location, only three hours to Mt Isa, access to local nurse clinic, variety of opportunities.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage maintenance program and carry out all repairs,

  • Knowledge in and repair of all types of equipment including

    • LandCruisers

    • Motorcycles

    • Earthmoving Machinery – Skid Steer, Grader, Loader, Tele-handler, Tractor, Excavators, Dozer

    • Prime Movers – Volvo, Kenworth

    • Small Engine repair – Kubota Engines

  • General station/homestead maintenance

  • Maintain an efficient and safe workshop.

Job Requirements

  • Trade qualification as a mechanic or equivalent (preferred but not essential, experience and attitude highly regarded)

  • Ability to use MIG Welder, operate machinery mentioned above

  • Understanding of and appreciation for remote working

  • You must be reliable, honest and self motivated. As well as neat and tidy, organised and punctual.

  • Drivers Licence
