A Farm Hand plays a crucial role in broadacre farming operations, focusing solely on crop production and land management.
Responsibilities include harvesting crops, producing feed for the feedlot, operating and maintaining machinery, and performing general farm maintenance and repairs.
This role does not involve direct work with cattle but is essential in ensuring efficient and productive large-scale farming operations.
Goonoo Feedlot & Station is situated in the Central Highlands of Queensland, 65km southeast of Emerald, and is a specialised Wagyu feedlot & backgrounding operation, feeding 20,000 head of Wagyu cattle for both international and domestic markets.

Carry out duties in a planned way - following work schedules, organising materials and equipment prior to commencing work
Operate machinery as required
Service and maintain farm equipment

Previous farming and machinery experience (desirable)
Demonstrated competency in all tasks reasonably required of a Farm Hand
Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
Experience in broadacre farming and proficiency in GPS technology
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to organise tasks and meet deadlines
Mature and rational approach to problem solving
