Job Description

Manchee Agriculture is seeking an experienced and highly capable Cattle Station Manager to lead operations at Christmas Creek Station in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.

This is a genuine hands-on management role for someone who lives and breathes cattle, people, land stewardship and practical leadership. We are looking for a person who shares our values and seeks to be a part of a progressive family business.

As Station Manager you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and profitable operation of Christmas Creek Station.

Importantly, this is a hands-on manager’s role for an innovative and talented cattleperson who leads by example and loves working alongside a small team.

Property Description

Christmas Creek Station is located in the Kimberley region 70 kilometres east of Fitzroy Crossing and at the foot of the Poole Range, Christmas Creek spans 165,000 hectares. Currently, the herd comprises 7,500 head of Brahman cattle and 40% of the property is watered. We are now in the process of a significant water point expansion program which is set to continue with 30 additional water points over the next five years.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

As Station Manager you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and profitable operation of Christmas Creek Station, including:

  • Livestock production and herd development

  • Water infrastructure expansion

  • Solar-powered station systems

  • Land stewardship and pasture management

  • Machinery repairs and maintenance

  • Operational planning and logistics

  • Staff leadership and culture

  • Budgeting and operational performance
