Feedlot Livestock Supervisor | Cataby | WA

Carpenter Beef is seeking an experienced and motivated Feedlot Livestock Supervisor to join our growing livestock team.

Carpenter Beef is located 1.5hrs north of Perth in Cataby, WA. Our properties Joanna Plains and Mariannas have a combined feeding capacity of 13 000 head of cattle, alongside a large farming enterprise for breeding and agistment stock.

This position will be focussed on the feeding side of the business, as well as supporting the broader team from time to time. 

Reporting directly to the Feedlot Manager, this is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing cattle induction, livestock processing, animal welfare outcomes and day-to-day livestock operations.

• Lead and supervise daily livestock operations (including: drafting, inducting, treatments, unloading/loading cattle, pen movements).

• Assist the Feedlot Manager to coordinate efficient cattle receivals, induction and processing activities.

• Train and mentor staff in low stress stock handling techniques

• Ensure compliance with regulations and company systems.

• Support livestock health programs and cattle management activities.

• Maintain accurate livestock records and traceability systems.

• Work closely with the Feedlot Manager to drive operational excellence.

• Experience working within feedlot, cattle station or intensive livestock operations.

• Strong practical cattle handling skills.

• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.

• A sound understanding of animal welfare and animal health principles.

• Experience applying low stress stock handling techniques.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.
