We require a Leading Hand to join the team!
This is a permanent role on a progressive Brahman breeding & trading operation in Central QLD. You'll be working directly with the owner-operator and will need to be capable, reliable, and able to think on your feet. We’re after someone who doesn’t need a list — someone who sees what needs doing and gets on with it.
If you enjoy variety and responsibility and want to be part of a tight operation with high standards. If you are looking to build a future in the industry, this is the place for you.
RV Pastoral is a progressive, family-owned enterprise located 90km north-west of Rockhampton in Central Queensland. Operating across four properties, the business encompasses a leading Brahman seedstock operation, a cattle trading enterprise, and approximately 1,000 hectares of annual cropping.
With more than 30 years of BREEDPLAN performance recording and data-driven breeding decisions, RV Pastoral supplies large drafts of productive, predictable, high-performing Brahman bulls across Northern Australia. Practical stockmanship, precision and attention to detail underpin every aspect of the operation.

The integrity of the breeding program is built on attention to detail, precision and consistency. Hard work, efficiency and doing things properly the first time are the standards expected every day.
You will play a key role in all aspects of livestock handling and farm operations across the three properties, 20km apart. RV Pastoral is a small, close-knit team where every person plays an important role. This is not a business where jobs are divided between large crews or where people become just another number. Team members are involved across all areas of the operation, take ownership of their work, and are trusted to think ahead, use initiative and contribute to the continual improvement of the business.
