We are seeking experienced Assistant Manager to support the Manager at our breeder property near Barcaldine, QLD.
Garfield Station is a 110,000 acre breeder property, located 40km north of Jericho, QLD. Jericho is located on the Capricorn Highway 86km east of Barcaldine. .
Working with the Manager to organise daily tasks along with livestock/ infrastructure planning and decisions.
Both bikes and horses used for mustering.
Yard work - castration etc
Water and fence maintenance
Dry lick distribution
Stock work when contractors are on property
General farm duties
Minimum 2 years experience with all station work essential, ideally in a Management role.
Experience with 2 wheel motorbikes, grader and tractor etc.
Work well under instruction from the owner/ Manager
Drivers licence (own 4WD preferred)
Experience with operating machinery is preferred
A couple wanting a long term opportunity is preferred
Must be reliable and trustworthy
A 2 bedroom air conditioned/ partly furnished house along with power and meat. (Fuel offered after 3 month probationary period).
Paddock available to horses - up to 4
Yes to work dogs, not pigging dogs, cages available.
Excellent widespread mobile reception as a Telstra tower is on the property
