Job Description

We require a Station Manager (or Managing Couple) to lead a large-scale pastoral operation spanning approximately 400,000 hectares in the Northern Territory.

This is a leadership position reporting directly to the owners, you will oversee aspects of station performance, including livestock production, team leadership, infrastructure, compliance, and project execution.

We are looking for a leader who takes ownership, makes sound decisions, and drives results. This role requires someone who can balance commercial performance with land stewardship while building and leading a strong small station team.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

As the manager on the ground, you will be responsible for ensuring the business operates efficiently, profitably, and sustainably.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading all station operations across approximately 400,000 hectares

  • Managing cattle production and grazing systems

  • Providing regular operational reports to the owners

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing station staff

  • Managing infrastructure, maintenance, and capital projects

  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with contractors, suppliers

  • Driving continuous improvement across the station

Job Requirements

You are an experienced pastoral leader with proven ability to manage large-scale cattle operations.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience managing significant pastoral enterprises

  • Proven leadership and people-management capabilities

  • Sound knowledge of cattle production systems and management

  • High levels of accountability, integrity, and initiative

  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
