Moreton Hire is looking for practical, reliable and hard-working people to join its Event Operations teams across:

• Brisbane, QLD

• Sydney, NSW

• Melbourne, VIC

Immediate contract work is available for people with experience in truck driving, forklift operation, construction, marquee building, warehousing, logistics, station work or other hands-on roles.

If you enjoy physical work, working with a good crew and seeing the finished result at the end of the job, this could be a great next move.

We have roles available on various locations/ projects in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

As part of the Event Operations team, you will help prepare, transport, install and dismantle equipment and infrastructure for exhibitions, corporate functions, sporting events and major public events.

No two projects are exactly the same. One week you could be helping install a marquee or temporary structure, and the next you could be setting up an exhibition hall, furniture, signage or event equipment.

Your duties may include:

• Loading and unloading event equipment

• Delivering equipment to venues and project sites

• Setting up and dismantling marquees and temporary structures

• Installing exhibition stands, flooring, furniture and signage

• Operating forklifts and other equipment where appropriately licensed

• Driving trucks and completing deliveries where appropriately licensed

• Preparing, checking and packing equipment in the warehouse

• Assisting supervisors and site teams with event installations

• Following site plans, instructions and safe work procedures

• Keeping warehouses, vehicles and work areas clean and organised

• Working efficiently as part of a crew to meet event deadlines

This opportunity could suit someone coming from:

• Cattle stations or farms

• Transport and logistics

• Construction or civil work

• Warehousing

• Marquee or temporary structure installation

• Events and exhibitions

• General labouring or trade-assistant work

Moreton Hire is looking for people who:

• Are reliable, punctual and ready to work

• Have a strong work ethic and practical attitude

• Are physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work

• Can follow instructions and work safely

• Work well as part of a crew

• Are flexible around changing project and event requirements

• Take pride in doing the job properly

Experience in event operations is not essential if you bring practical skills, a good attitude and a willingness to learn.

The following would be highly regarded:

• Current driver’s licence

• Forklift licence

• MR, HR or higher-class truck licence

• Construction White Card

• Experience building marquees or temporary structures

• Warehousing, logistics or event installation experience

• Basic tool, maintenance or mechanical skills
