You will be based at our Stanbroke's 'Bottle Tree' Feedlot, a major large-scale, purpose-designed grain-finishing feedlot located near Chinchilla in the Western Downs region of Queensland, Australia
Stanbroke is a reputable family-owned and operated Australian cattle and beef business. Our operations span across Northern Queensland, with the extensive cattle properties, backgrounding operations in Southern Queensland, state-of-the-art cattle feedlots, a fully accredited beef processing facility and global marketing capabilities. We offer a full range of Grain and Grass-fed beef categories and export to over 40 countries globally.
You are responsible for safely operating feedlot machinery, supporting daily operations, livestock care, and infrastructure tasks. This is a hands-on role on a 10/4 rotating roster, giving you variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a real impact. This role includes:
Safely operate machinery including loaders, skid steers, excavators, and water trucks
Conduct routine equipment checks and report any issues promptly
Assist with feed distribution, pen cleaning, and general feedlot tasks
Support infrastructure projects, loading/unloading, and managing materials
Monitor quality, efficiency, and adherence to safety procedures
Work collaboratively with the feedlot team to meet daily operational targets
Experienced in operating heavy machinery
Safety-conscious and committed to maintaining a safe working environment
Energetic, proactive, and hands-on with a "can-do" attitude
Strong team player who contributes to a positive workplace culture
Adaptable and able to handle a fast-paced, varied workload
Detail-oriented with a focus on operational efficiency and high-quality standards
Roster: 10 days on, 4 days off

Gulf Maintenance is Stanbroke's dedicated mechanical and infrastructure team based in northern Queensland, responsible for keeping our remote station fleet and equipment operational. Roles include truck drivers and plant operators.
Gulf Air is Stanbroke's aviation team, providing essential aerial support across our operations. The team includes helicopter pilots who muster cattle across our northern cattle stations, as well as fixed-wing pilots covering a wide range of flying across the business.
