Together, let’s shape the future of agriculture by sharing your knowledge, skills and experience with the next generation of agricultural workers! LEADAg Pathways is seeking farmers and agricultural businesses across Central and Western Queensland to become Host Mentors for participants completing a Certificate II in Rural Operations through Martyr Training (RTO No. 31279).   The goal of LEADAg Pathways is to support participants towards meaningful employment, while giving hosts the opportunity to develop someone who may become a future employee.   Host Mentors provide participants with practical, real-world experience to build their skills, confidence and understanding of working in agriculture, generally through approximately one day per week of on-farm experience.

Expressions of Interest are now open for LEADAg Pathways Certificate II in Rural Operations.  Open to eligible school leavers and adults, currently residing in Queensland, looking to build a pathway into agriculture.  Starting 23 November 2026 , LEADAg Pathways is a six-month, employment-focused program designed to help people gain the practical skills, workplace experience and nationally recognised training needed to step confidently into the agricultural workforce. If you’re looking to enter agriculture, change careers, return to the workforce or gain the practical experience needed to secure your first rural job, LEADAg Pathways could be for you. You’ll work towards a nationally recognised Certificate II in Rural Operations through Martyr Training (RTO No. 31279) while gaining practical experience in real agricultural workplaces.
