Bar H is looking for a hands-on, and experienced Head Stockman to join the team at River Lea.   The Head Stockman will help lift livestock performance and keep things running smoothly day-to-day. The Head stockman will need to ensure cattle perform at their best while upholding Bar H’s standards. You’ll be responsible for herd management, ensuring livestock welfare, performance, and safety are always top priority, and support the team with property upkeep. 

Join the small but close-nit crew at Cungelella Station, QLD as the Governess/ Station hand in 2026, supporting one secondary aged student in his daily on-air lessons, assignments and studies through distance education. Providing guided assistance to the student and supporting them in their learning and study plan. As part of the role they will also play a vital part in the daily operations of station life, from assisting with mustering and yard work in the busy backgrounding operation, feeding animals, cleaning troughs, basic vehicle upkeep and the maintenance of the complex.

Bar H is looking for a capable, and hardworking Station Hand to join our team on a well-run wagyu production property in Comet, Qld. You’ll work closely with the Bar H Team and contribute directly to the day-to-day running of River Lea.  This position is hands-on and varied, suited to someone who enjoys physical work, solving problems, and keeping a property looking sharp. If you take pride in doing a job properly, enjoy working independently, this is a great opportunity.
