Station/Domestic Hand | Leonora | WA

Melrose and Tarmoola Stations are located in the Northern Goldfields (Shire of Leonora), covering an area of approximately 400,000 ha. The stations are owned by Vault Minerals and run as operational cattle stations.

The role of Station Hand is a versatile role will and will require a range of skills, including general station duties, cooking, gardening, and maintaining equipment.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a remote, outdoor environment and will have a strong commitment to safety and efficiency

• Tarmoola Station - located 25km north of Leonora

• Melrose Station - located 116km north of Leonora 

• Both stations cover 400,000 ha 

Station Hand: 

• Bore running, gardening and general hand responsibilities.

• Off-road driving, ensure safe transport of materials and personnel. 

• Machine operating with the use of station equipment. 

• Perform basic mechanical repairs, including tyre changes and maintenance on station equipment. 

• Assist with station upkeep. 

General Hand: 

• Cooking for small crew. 

• Clean kitchen and communal staff areas.

• Ordering kitchen and cleaning supplies.

• Off-road driving, ensure safe transport of materials and personnel. 

• Machine operating with the use of station equipment. 

• Perform basic mechanical repairs, including tyre changes and maintenance on station equipment. 

• Assist with station upkeep. 

• Assist with administrative computer tasks. 

• Experience in a similar role - preferred but not essential.

• A strong commitment to safety

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination

• Basic to intermediate usage of MS Suite 

• Full Australian work rights 

• WA Manual Class Drivers Licence

• National Police Clearance check (within 6 months)
