Bonney Downs Station is seeking an experienced Cropping Manager to join our team based in Warradarge, Western Australia. Just 10 minutes from the coast at Greenhead and 2.5 hours from Perth city.
This is a full-time role that will play a pivotal part in the overall operations and success of the farm.
As Cropping Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the property's cropping operations, ensuring efficient and sustainable farming practices are implemented.
ABOUT US: Bonney Downs Station is a large-scale, family-owned farming operation located in Western Australia. Two large cattle stations in the Pilbara support this business with cattle carted down for backgrounding on properties in the Mid-West.
There are 4 farms at this location where wheat, canola, barley and oats are grown, with a large hay program to complement our cattle production.
What is expected of you
Manage the planning, implementation and monitoring of cropping activities across the farm
Oversee crop selection, planting, fertilising, spraying and harvesting to maximise yields and profitability
Liaise with agronomists and other experts to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices
Ensure all farming activities comply with relevant legislation and industry standards
Manage and develop the cropping team, providing guidance, training and performance feedback
Record, monitor and report on cropping budgets, productivity and other key metrics
Experience managing cropping operations
To competent in planning and executing cropping programs, organising staff, liaising with agronomists and necessary company staff, keep sufficient records and report to company authorities
A positive attitude, well mannered and willing to work with-in a company team
