We’re searching for a motivated leader who is passionate about horses, enjoys working with people and wants to play a key role in growing an exciting, innovative business.

This is a unique leadership position combining riding instruction, tourism, horse management and daily business operations.

You will work closely with the Director to ensure the business operates smoothly while helping deliver exceptional experiences for every client.

This is a hands-on role. You’ll spend time teaching lessons, guiding rides, caring for horses, leading staff and helping manage the day-to-day operations of the business.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

Horse Riding & Client Experience

  • Deliver private and group riding lessons.

  • Guide trail rides and multi-day tourism experiences.

  • Deliver school holiday programs and clinics.

  • Create fun, engaging and memorable experiences for clients of all ages.

  • Mentor junior instructors and assistant staff.

Operations

  • Assist with daily scheduling and staff coordination.

  • Allocate horses to lessons and tours.

  • Ensure horses are presented to a high standard.

  • Oversee daily horse welfare and stable operations.

  • Assist with Horse Hotel operations.

  • Ensure facilities are clean, safe and well maintained.

  • Manage equipment and report maintenance requirements.

Leadership

  • Lead by example.

  • Support and mentor team members.

  • Help maintain a positive workplace culture.

  • Solve day-to-day operational challenges.

  • Ensure high standards of safety and customer service.

Business Support

  • Assist with bookings and customer enquiries when required.

  • Help develop new tourism products and experiences.

  • Contribute ideas to improve efficiency and customer experience.

  • Support marketing initiatives, including social media content and client engagement.

Job Requirements

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has outstanding horse handling and riding skills.

  • Is confident teaching riders of all ages and abilities.

  • Has a positive, upbeat and energetic personality.

  • Loves working with people and creating memorable experiences.

  • Is a natural leader who enjoys mentoring others.

  • Is organised and able to prioritise multiple tasks.

  • Is proactive and takes ownership.

  • Is physically fit and enjoys working outdoors.

  • Has a strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude.

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrated horse riding and handling experience.

  • Experience teaching or coaching riders.

  • Current Driver Licence.

  • Working with Children Clearance (or ability to obtain).

  • First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

Desirable

  • Tourism or hospitality experience.

  • Leadership or supervisory experience.

  • Experience with Australian Stock Horses.

  • Experience working with children and beginner riders.

  • Social media or marketing experience.
