Our commitment to being leaders in the feedlot sector has seen the need for a Leading Hand to join our Livestock Team at our Yarranbrook Feedlot site on a full-time basis.
You will be based at our Yarranbrook feedlot, about 15mins from Inglewood, QLD.
On the doorstep of key cattle growing regions across QLD and NSW, with direct connectivity to large-scale processing facilities. Yarranbrook has some 15,000 hectares including centre-pivot irrigation on river flats, with the rest used for grazing and preconditioning. In the productive Darling Downs region of Southeast Queensland.
Overseeing and leading by example with strong cattle handling, horsemanship and animal husbandry practices across the livestock team.
Ensuring daily operations and movements are executed in a timely and efficient manner to meet daily production and quality targets.
Maintain animal health, receivals, inductions, drafting and dispatch as required.
Demonstrated experience in feedlot livestock handling or similar previous experience.
Experience with feedlot programs Stockaid and FY3000.
Competent horse skills with supply of suitable horses.
You are focused on working safely in an environment that drives continuous improvement and excellence.
Reliable and a good team player, with an ability to lead a team.
Willingness to learn and passion for continuous improvement.
Strong communication and problem-solving ability.
10 Days on / 4 days off roster.

Horse Shoeing and Lucerne Hay provided.
