Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participate in a 12-month earn-and-learn program, including on-the-job training alongside experienced teams.

  • Complete rotations through different operations (Northern Queensland, Central Queensland & the Darling Downs) for the first 6 months.

  • After rotations, move into a 6-month specialist placement aligned with your interests and strengths. 

  • Engage in external programs, certifications, and events as part of the learning pathway.

  • Provide periodic self-reflections or reports (e.g. answering questions about your progress, where you’re going, what skills you’re building).

  • Collaborate with different teams, possibly travel or relocate between sites depending on the rotation schedule.

Job Requirements

  • So long as you are keen to learn and put in some hard but rewarding work, this opportunity is open to graduates, school leavers or latter life starters!

  • A willingness to learn and rotate through multiple locations across QLD (Northern, Central, Darling Downs).

  • Strong motivation, enthusiasm, and relevant personal attributes (curiosity, resilience, teamwork).

  • Ability to communicate clearly (both written & verbal), since part of the application is submitting a 1-minute video and answering written questions - see below...

  • Commitment to the full 12-month program.

  • Likely need to show some degree of experience/background (not necessarily in ag), and/or demonstrate an interest in agriculture / beef industry. The application asks you to share your background.

  • Be located (or willing to relocate) in Australia and have eligibility to work (non-overseas restrictions could apply).
