We have Station Hand vacancies available in the stock camp for the 2027 season at Meda Station.
The season will run from April to November in 2027.
Opportunities in the Meda stock camp are rare, so this is a great chance join the team where you will learn considerably through the season. This role is best suited to those wanting a career in the cattle industry
Horse riding experience is critical. Cattle experience is preferred, but we will still consider those who have other skills or experiences that are transferrable to a large cattle station.
Meda Station, at 505,857 ha with 25,000 head of Brahman cattle, is located in a beautiful part of the Kimberly region – 40km east of Derby, WA.
Meda Station is a well maintained and developed station with an experienced and respected management team.
You’ll join the stock camp and get involved across the station, including:
Mustering cattle on horseback with helicopter support.
Working cattle in the yards.
Checking waters and helping with fencing.
General station maintenance and upkeep.
You’ll build practical skills throughout the season and learn how the different parts of a cattle station work together.
Competent horse riders who are confident handling a mixture of stock horses.
A willingness to listen, ask questions and learn.
Reliability, a strong work ethic, respect for others and a focus on safety.
Readiness for physically demanding outdoor work.
Commitment to the April–November season and an interest in continuing in the industry.
